Customer Service Representative (CSR)

Customer Service Representatives will be responsible for assisting clients with their tax preparation questions, directing inquiries to the appropriate resources, managing customer relationships, and resolving issues in a professional manner. This position will entail a variety of experiences and will provide numerous learning experiences each and every day.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Serve as liaison between the client and the company to handle all customer service issues
* Service retail customers via e-mail and phone concerning service inquiries, policies, and special promotions
* Identify customer needs to ensure customer satisfaction, growth, and retention of business
* Multitask to complete assigned projects in a timely and efficient manner
* Manage multiple tasks and assigned projects to a successful timely completion;
* Provide managers with information and customer feedback to help identify trends and resolve problems to improve the company image
* Perform any other similar or related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

* Must be highly motivated and have proven customer-oriented attitude
* Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment and to meet deadlines
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Demonstrate the ability to remain calm and present a professional demeanor during high volume periods;
* Able to remain calm and maintain a professional attitude during busy times
* Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented focus
* Able to compose professional letters and other types of correspondence
* Computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Windows and Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
* Type 40 words per minute
* Math skills
* Years of Experience: At least two years in customer service or call center is preferred
* Minimum Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Prepare tax returns and related documents; act as an advisor for clients; develop a professional relationship with clients based on trust and respect
* Ensure that all clients pay the lowest tax liability allowed by law and get the maximum refund by conducting thorough computerized tax interviews
* Research tax questions and issues to provide clients with accurate information
* Enter all tax return data into tax program software, being aware of thoroughness and accuracy
* Multitask to complete assigned projects in a timely and efficient manner
* Explain and cross-sell other tax services and products, depending on client needs
* Check tax returns prepared by other employees and participate in cross-audits
